Hello! 

I am a Senior at Purdue University studying Mass and Media Communication. In the Spring 2022 semester, I was enrolled in an Honors College class titled "Technological Justice." In that course, we pulled back the curtain on many technologies in many different sectors to analyze their ethics and how the technology works well or could be improved. We also teased out some tough ethical questions when it came to how to go about implementing solutions in solidarity with (as opposed to on behalf of) disabled folks, thinking through how to prevent disasters like NASA's Challenger mission, investigating the human labor and harm underpinning Internet Content Moderation, and so much more. This honors scholarly project is an extension of the project I developed during that course, which brought together my interests in the beauty industry and social media. I have found it fascinating to grow my curiosity and knowledge on the convergence of my degree and this course. I hope you enjoy and find you learned something!
